Alistair E. MacLellan is a Scottish Born Artist and Researcher.

I am currently an artist working in the Scottish Highlands, where I have lived all my life. Studying at the University of the Highlands & Islands in the Contemporary Arts at degree level. My work explores concepts and ideas relating to science. Most times specifically on evolution. Primarily focused upon achromatic black ink and graphite drawings along with large scale oil paintings on canvas or mountboard. The subject matter of my work leans towards a surrealist and expressionist hybrid. Using scientific precedence and accuracy without being at the expense of artistic liberty. It has always been the aim to create art with this style while keeping it timeless.
